Royal CBDV Autoflower Strain Information

Royal CBDV Auto provides high levels of her namesake novel cannabinoid. In an effort to create a cultivar with such concentrations of cannabidivarin, our breeders had to start out with the right genetic material.

First of all, they selected the legendary landrace Durban Poison, a variety native to the arid lands of South Africa. Known for its cerebral and energising effect, this cultivar also possesses higher-than-average quantities of CBDV. Cannabinoids aside, Durban Poison also produces large and productive plants. Overall, she passed down a unique cannabinoid profile and good productivity to the progeny.

Next up, our breeders decided to introduce Solomatic CBD into the equation. As the offspring of Diesel CBD and Asia CBD Auto, this indica-dominant hybrid passed down high levels of CBD, fruity terpenes, and autoflowering genes. Royal CBDV emerged from this pairing with 75% sativa genetics, 20% indica, and 5% ruderalis. Continue reading to discover her unique characteristics and effects!

Royal CBDV Auto Marijuana Strain Characteristics

As well as serving up a unique cannabinoid profile, the Royal CBDV marijuana strain offers an easy and straightforward growing experience. Plants maintain a short, bushy, and stealthy stature regardless of their growing environment.

Indoors, plants develop a large and resinous cola when left untrained and top out at a height of 80 cm. If that sounds too tall for your covert growing space, simply apply LST during the vegetative stage to keep your Royal CBDV plants at a height of just 60 cm. Outdoors, untrained plants raised in a sunny spot grow up to 100 cm. However, limit their pot size and apply training techniques, and they’ll surge no higher than 80 cm.

When it comes to productivity, the Royal CBDV strain provides a good yield in small spaces. Expect returns of 375–450 g/m² indoors and 110–150 g/plant outdoors, ready to harvest after a brief growing cycle of 8–9 weeks.

  • Royal CBDV Auto Flavour and Aroma

Royal CBDV flowers are packed with aromatic and tasty phytochemicals that contribute to her unique flavours. Among them stand out high levels of the terpene terpinolene, which adds herbal and floral notes along with hints of apple, lilac, and nutmeg.

Myrcene ranks as the second-most abundant terpene in these flowers, contributing notes of herbs, musk, and fruit. Ocimene also occurs in large concentrations in Royal CBDV and adds hints of mint and freshness.

But terpenes don’t act alone when it comes to the flavours of this weed strain. A mix of volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs) and esters are also at work. The VSCs contribute subtle notes of skunk and gas, whereas the esters add to the fruitiness of this cultivar.

  • Royal CBDV Autoflower Effects

The Royal CBDV cannabis strain contains only trace levels of THC clocking in at around 0.3%. Put simply, you won’t get high when smoking this variety. However, her complex chemical profile ensures an enjoyable and clear-headed experience.

A CBDV level of 5% synergises with a CBD concentration of 5%, producing a lucid, uplifting, and physically relaxing effect. The clarity of mind you’ll feel while hitting these buds makes Royal CBDV Auto a perfect strain for early mornings and busy afternoons.

Growing the Royal CBDV Auto Weed Strain

You’re aware of the genetics, characteristics, flavours, and effects of Royal CBDV. Now, you’re going to learn what to expect when growing these weed seeds all the way from germination to harvest. Let’s dive right in!

  • Germinating Royal CBDV Auto Seeds

Royal CBDV seeds don’t need any special treatment to ensure a good germination rate. Keep things simple and place them in a glass of water for 12–24 hours. Once they’ve received a good soaking, you can sow them directly into their final growing containers. Because this strain doesn’t grow very big, you’ll do well using an 11 l fabric pot. These containers will provide enough space to get a good yield, while also supplying adequate drainage and aeration.

Fill your pot with a high-quality growing medium amended with compost and some perlite for further drainage. Consider adding bioinoculants, such as rhizobacter and mycorrhizal fungi, to boost root system establishment and to defend against common seedling diseases. Sow your soaked seeds into their pots and keep them moist without overwatering them. Try to maintain a temperature of 25°C and humidity of around 70% to speed up germination.

Turn on your lights for 24 hours per day as soon as sprouts emerge through the soil. This will help to promote growth and prevent leggy stems. Expect your seedlings to stand at around 3 cm at the end of the first week of growth.

  • Vegetative Phase

During the vegetative phase, your Royal CBDV Auto plants will pack on leafy growth and develop a canopy ready to house plenty of buds. Opt for a liquid fertiliser high in nitrogen to facilitate development during this time.

Expect your plants to grow to around 7 cm by the end of the first week of veg. Continue to run your lights for 18–24 hours per day. Use a combination of fans and heaters to maintain a temperature of 21–25°C and a humidity of 50–60%. Your plants will grow to around 15–20 cm during the second week of veg, and will have formed several sets of true leaves. Water only when the top 2–3 cm of soil becomes completely dry. Consider routine root drenches of compost tea and worm tea to keep your plants' microbiome healthy and strong.

During the third week of veg, apply training techniques such as LST if you want to keep your plants stealthy and compact. You can move plants outdoors at this point once all risk of frost has passed, as they’ll be mature enough to resist most pests.

Your Royal CBDV Auto specimens will stand at around 40 cm by the end of veg. They’ll start to produce pre-flowers at their nodes (the points at which the branches and main stem meet) as they transition into bloom.

  • Flowering Phase & Harvest

During flowering, your Royal CBDV Auto marijuana plants will stretch to their final height of 60–100 cm, depending on the pot size and training techniques you’ve used. Make an effort to defoliate your canopies during bloom to boost aeration and decrease the risk of mould.

Switch to a liquid fertiliser higher in potassium and phosphorus and lower in nitrogen to assist bud development. Withhold all nutrients during the final two weeks of growth to flush your plants and improve their flavour and smoothness. Then, prepare to harvest 375–450 g/m² from indoor plants and 110–150 g/plant from those grown outdoors.

Simply cut your plants at the base just above the soil and hang them upside down in a dark and dry location. After drying them out for 10 days, remove the buds from the branches and trim off their sugar leaves. Finally, place your manicured flowers into curing jars for 6–8 weeks. This step requires patience but will perfect the flavours of your stash.
