1. Green Gelato
As one of the strongest indica strains, Green Gelato will truly knock your socks off. Sow seeds directly into 5 cm pots filled with a high-quality potting mix.
Cover them lightly with soil and mist well. Start running your lights for 24 hours per day as soon as sprouts emerge, and expect your seedlings to stand at around 5 cm by the end of the first week from sprouting. Transplant into 10–15 cm pots to give your seedlings more space to spread their roots. Maintain a temperature of 25°C and humidity of around 60% and your plants will reach 10 cm by the end of week two, and 15 cm by the end of week three. From here, transplant outdoors into a sunny spot, either directly into the ground or into raised beds or large containers. Before entering bloom, your plants will peak at 150–170 cm.
Depending on the size of the growing containers and any training techniques used, your plants will stretch up to a final height of 200 cm during the early flowering stage. As bloom progresses, your plants will develop stunning purple-green buds with incredible trichome density. Start flushing the substrate during the final two weeks of growth to improve the flavour and smoothness of the buds. Prepare to harvest up to 800 g/plant during early October. This progeny of Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies serves up a seriously stoning THC content of 27% and flavours of citrus, vanilla, and mint.

2. Triple G
If you’re looking for one of the strongest strains of 2024, say hello to Triple G. Soak your seeds in a glass of water for 12–24 hours before sowing them into small containers (~10 litres).
Keep your lights on for 18–24 hours per day and maintain a temperature of 23–25°C throughout the vegetative phase. Under these conditions, your plants will grow to 4 cm, 8cm, and 15–20 cm during weeks one, two, and three, respectively. Apply training and topping during the third week to keep your plants more compact. During week four, transplant your Triple G specimens outdoors into a sunny and sheltered spot in the garden. Your plants will top out at 150 cm as they start to develop pre-flowers and transition into bloom.
As flowering progresses, changes in plant hormones will cause your Triple G specimens to stretch to 180 cm depending on any training applied. Keep on top of defoliation during flowering to ensure each bud is exposed to direct sunlight. After a flowering phase of 8–9 weeks, prepare to pull in 600–650 g/plant ready for drying and curing. A descendant of Gorilla Glue 4 and Gelato 33, Triple G exerts a hard-hitting stoning high fuelled by a massive THC concentration of 26%. Flavours of chocolate, citrus, and diesel make joints hard to put down.

3. Biscotti
What’s the most potent indica strain? Well, Biscotti certainly weighs in as a strong candidate. Sow seeds into soaked peat pellets and add a sprinkle of mycorrhizal fungi to spur root development.
Once your seedlings have reached a height of 4 cm by the end of the first week, transplant them into 10 cm pots. Keep them here for the next two weeks as your plants quickly grow to 18–20 cm. Then, transplant outdoors, either into large containers or directly into the ground, once the risk of frost has passed. By the end of veg, you’ll have yourself luscious and sturdy plants that stand at 140–150 cm and boast broad fan leaves and plenty of nascent bud sites.
Keep on top of defoliation during bloom to enhance airflow and decrease moisture in the canopy. As your plants stretch up to 180 cm, they’ll start churning out dense colas covered in resin and adorned with purple hues. Make sure you have enough stash jars to handle a harvest of 550–600 g/plant during October. Brace yourself for flavours of cookies, fruit, and diesel alongside a creative yet stoning high powered by a THC content of 25%.

4. Royal Skywalker
Amongst the strongest indica strains ranks Royal Skywalker, a cultivar that will blast you off to a galaxy far, far away. So, young padawan, start seeds by sowing them directly into their final 20-litre pots indoors.
Run your lights for 18–24 hours per day and watch as this strain grows to around 10 cm by the end of week two and 15 cm by the end of week three. Apply training if you want smaller plants during the third week. Now, move your containers into a greenhouse or directly under the open sky in a sunny position. Your plants will peak at 100–150 cm before flowering begins.
Make sure your plants have enough room to stretch up to 200 cm during early bloom. Go heavy on potassium and phosphorus to facilitate optimal bud development, take care to thin out the canopy to prevent mould, and consider temporarily moving plants indoors during periods of relentless rain. During October, prepare to harvest 500–600 g/plant. This offspring of Blueberry and Mazar wields a THC content of 25% and imparts a deeply relaxing and clear-headed effect. Tastes of blueberry, citrus, and pepper are the cherry on top.

5. Wedding Gelato
We couldn’t possibly make a list of the most potent indica strains without including the phenom that is Wedding Gelato.
Germinate your seeds using the paper towel method and pop them into 10 cm pots once their taproots reach a length of roughly 2 cm. Raise your seedlings indoors and watch them grow to 4–5 cm one week after sprouting. Apply any desired training techniques during week three as your plants reach 10–15 cm. Once all risk of frost has passed, go on to transplant your specimens outdoors into a sunny and fertile spot, where they’ll max out at 100–150 cm by the end of veg.
Defoliate liberally to keep the canopy open and aerated as your plants stretch up to 200 cm during early bloom. As the growing season comes to a close and nighttime temperatures dip, you’ll notice your colas take on a stunning deep purple appearance. Flush your plants during the final two weeks of growth and prepare to harvest, trim, and dry 350–400 g/plant during early October. Equipped with Wedding Cake, Gelato, and Gelato 33 genetics, Wedding Gelato features a THC content of 25% and induces a soothing and euphoric experience. You’ll enjoy tastes of citrus, earth, fruit, and herbs with every hit.
