Gloria Payá is a final-year PhD student in the Agrochemistry and Biochemistry Department (University of Alicante). She has experience with extremophilic microorganisms and has participated in several research projects related to the mechanisms of gene regulation of nitrogen metabolism and stress conditions.

Gloria Payá is a biologist specializing in environmental and health biotechnology. During her degree, she has received several research grants to participate in projects related to the development of genetic engineering tools in halophilic microorganisms. She has also been awarded the Master's Excellence Award (University of Alicante). The results of her doctoral thesis have been published in several scientific journals and have been presented at national and international congresses.
