Gloria Payá is a biologist with a passion for environmental and health biotechnology. Her research journey began during her undergraduate studies, where she contributed to projects developing genetic engineering tools for halophilic microorganisms. Recognized for her academic excellence, Gloria received the Master’s Excellence Award from the University of Alicante.
Currently, as a PhD researcher in the Department of Agrochemistry and Biochemistry, Gloria’s work explores molecular mechanisms regulating nitrogen metabolism and stress responses in extremophilic microorganisms.
