Royal CBG Auto Strain Information
Here at Royal Queen Seeds, our skilled breeders have earned a reputation for creating some of the most potent varieties available, along with many relaxing high-CBD cultivars for those who prefer not to get high. But our team hasn't limited themselves to these two cannabinoids. By crossing parent strain Goliat Auto with a high-CBG strain, they created Royal CBG Auto. Packed with her namesake cannabinoid, this variety offers a whole new side to the cannabis experience. Alongside unique effects, this cultivar also offers rare flavors, a rapid growing cycle, a stealthy stature, and rewarding indoor yields.
Royal CBG Auto Characteristics
Royal CBG Auto inherited several key traits from her predecessors that have made her popular among cannabis cultivators. Most notably, high levels of the cannabinoid CBG (and almost no THC) underpin a unique effect that simply cannot be experienced with most other strains. Aside from her exotic phytochemical profile, this strain also appeals to growers seeking strains that are stout, stealthy, and easy to manage. Despite reaching compact heights, these plants are capable of delivering respectable yields, especially indoors.
-
Royal CBG Auto Strain Flavor and Aroma
Royal CBG Auto offers high levels of the terpenes myrcene and caryophyllene, providing a savoury base of earthiness, spice, and musk while varying levels of volatile sulphur compounds serve up hints of skunk. However, just when you think you’ve become fully acquainted with her flavor, strong notes of vanilla punch right through the center of the mix and linger on the tongue after exhalation. Consider vaping these buds at a lower temperature setting to get a real taste of what they have to offer.

Royal CBG Auto Strain Effects
CBG, otherwise known as cannabigerol, produces an effect distinct from both THC and CBD. Like CBD, it doesn’t trigger the quintessential cannabis high. However, its effects are noticeably different from standard high-CBD varieties. Combining 6–8% CBG, high levels of CBD, just 0.09% THC, and plenty of soothing and refreshing terpenes, Royal CBG Auto produces a clear-headed and lucid experience. You’ll feel grounded, focused, and slightly elevated, ready to tackle your standard daily tasks with more motivation and clarity—except without any red eyes, lethargy, or raging munchies! While ideal for daytime use while working or pursuing creative projects, Royal CBG Auto also works great in the evening when it comes to winding down and relaxing.
Growing Royal CBG Auto
Royal CBG Auto provides a quick, simple, and easy growing experience suitable for both complete beginners and seasoned cultivators alike. Within just weeks of sowing seeds, you’ll have yourself a bounty of aromatic buds ready for drying and curing. Below, learn exactly what to expect when growing this variety.
-
Germinating Royal CBG Auto Cannabis
It doesn’t require much effort to get your Royal CBG Auto plants off to a healthy start. Simply sow your seeds directly into 11 l pots filled with a potting mix containing organic matter and perlite (for adequate drainage). The addition of bioinoculants such as mycorrhizal fungi isn’t mandatory, but they’ll give your plants an edge when it comes to root system development and defense against diseases.Turn your grow light on for 24 hours per day once your sprouts emerge from the soil for speedy and strong growth. Your seedlings will reach a height of 3–5 cm by the end of the first week.
-
Vegetative Phase
The Royal CBG Auto strain doesn’t put on much mass during veg compared to other strains. However, what she does put on, she puts on fast! Expect your specimens to surge to 10 cm by the end of week two and 20–30 cm by the end of week three. If you want to keep your plants particularly compact, apply low-stress training (LST) to produce a flatter canopy with more evenly sized buds later down the line. Your plants will start producing pre-flowers as they come to the end of veg during week four of the growing cycle. Take some time now to lightly defoliate your canopies to improve light penetration and aeration—two factors important to proper bud development.
-
Flowering Phase and Harvest
Your Royal CBD Auto marijuana plants will stretch slightly during flowering. Trained indoor plants won’t exceed 80 cm, whereas those left without any intervention will peak at around 90 cm. Outdoor plants will grow to a slightly taller maximum height of 100 cm. Flush your plants during the final 1–2 weeks of bloom in hopes of a more pleasant smoking experience. By the end of bloom, you’ll notice branches start to bend slightly under the weight of surprisingly bulbous and frosty mature buds.
After an entire growing cycle of 9–10 weeks after sprouting, prepare to harvest, trim, and dry up to 450 g/m² from indoor plants and 30–50 g/plant from their outdoor counterparts. To harvest your hard work, simply use a pair of pruning scissors to cut your plant at the base just above the growing medium. Next, prune away all of the remaining fan leaves and hang your plant upside down in your grow space with the lights off but with your fans still running. After 7–10 days, trim your flowers and move them into curing jars for 6–8 weeks to enhance their flavor and smoothness.

Second, it produces a 5% concentration of CBDV—another “minor” cannabinoid that exerts a clear-headed and physically relaxing effect. Indoor plants reach a height of 60–80 cm and produce a rewarding 375–450 g/m² after a growing time of just 8–9 weeks after sprouting.
