Royal Jack Auto Strain Information

As the autoflower version of the legendary Jack Herer, Royal Jack Auto weighs in with a moderate THC content of 16%, medium levels of CBD, and plenty of refreshing and savoury terpenes.

By crossing the original Jack Herer variety with a high-performing ruderalis cultivar, the skilled breeders at Royal Queen Seeds created a fast and productive hybrid featuring 40% sativa genetics, 30% indica, and 30% ruderalis. Jack Herer Auto inherited the very best qualities from the original strain, yet offers a stash in a fraction of the time. Jack Herer itself, named after the legendary cannabis author and advocate, stems from parent strains Haze, Northern Lights #5, and Shiva Skunk. These genetics give rise to a multitude of unique phenotypes. While they vary in some traits, all feature the common thread of energetic and creative effects alongside earthy and woody flavors.

Royal Jack Auto Characteristics

Royal Jack Auto appeals to growers with limited indoor and outdoor space, as well as those seeking to keep their growing activities as covert as possible. On top of this, as a low-maintenance and easy-to-grow variety, Royal Jack Auto appeals to both novices looking to dip their toes into the world of cannabis cultivation, as well as seasoned veterans chasing an easy yield.

Indoors, this strain grows to just 80 cm. However, apply training techniques such as LST and you’ll keep your specimens as compact as 40 cm—small enough to grow in a modified cupboard or box. Outdoors, plants peak at the same height when left untrained; with training, they’ll top out at a stealthy 60 cm. After an entire growing cycle of just 11–12 weeks, indoor plants will produce a yield of 350–400 g/m². Outdoors, Royal Jack Auto offers a return of up to 120 g/plant when grown in a sunny position.

Royal Jack Auto Cannabis Strain Characteristics: Height, Flowering Time, THC, Effects, Taste, Growing Conditions
  • Royal Jack Auto Flavor and Effect

Royal Jack Auto diverges from many modern hybrids when it comes to its flavor and aroma. In order to meet consumer demand, many breeders have focused on crafting sugary, sweet, and fruity terpene profiles in recent years. However, some growers have maintained or developed a preference for the savoury notes found in strains like Royal Jack Auto. Her buds contain high concentrations of terpenes such as terpinolene, caryophyllene, and pinene. Together, these aromatic phytochemicals combine to produce pleasant flavors reminiscent of wood, earth, and pine. To experience these forest-themed flavors in all their glory, try vaping this strain at low temperature settings to get a true taste of its terpene profile.

  • Royal Jack Auto Effects

You now know all about Royal Jack Auto’s genetic background and earthy terpene profile. But what can you expect when you place these buds in a bowl or blunt and blaze them up? Well, a sensible THC content of 16% means you’ll remain fully functional throughout the entire experience, making this strain a good choice during the daytime hours. At first, you’ll feel a creative and cerebral effect set in. Enjoy bouts of motivation and creativity, all while remaining grounded thanks to medium levels of CBD. But these cannabinoids don’t act alone. High levels of pinene will keep your mind clear, while large concentrations of terpinolene exert a physically relaxing and soothing effect. Overall, Royal Jack Auto makes a good all-rounder; smoke her in the day for clarity and focus, or during the evenings to wind down and chill out.

Growing Royal Jack Auto

The Royal Jack Auto marijuana strain sure makes for a fun smoking experience. But she’s also a joy to grow both indoors and outdoors. Her hardy nature, rapid growing time, and compact size make for a seamless cultivation experience. • Germinating Royal Jack Auto Seeds

To speed up germination and get your grow started as soon as possible, soak your Royal Jack Auto seeds in a glass of water for 12–24 hours. This simple trick will cause the seeds to absorb water, helping them to break dormancy sooner and making it easier for the embryo to sprout from the seed casing. From here, transfer seeds directly into 11 l fabric pots filled with a growing medium amended with organic matter for nutrient retention and perlite for drainage and aeration. Fabric pots are a great choice, as they’ll keep the growing medium aerated, prevent water pooling, and prune the roots to prevent them from circling. Turn your lights on for 24 hours a day as soon as sprouts break through the surface of the soil and maintain an average temperature of 25°C and 70% humidity for optimal growth. Expect your Royal Jack Auto seedlings to reach a height of around 3 cm by the end of the first week of growth.

  • Vegetative Phase

Your Royal Jack Auto plants will pack on plenty of new growth during the vegetative phase of the growing cycle, including luscious fan leaves and thick and sturdy stems and branches. Continue to run your lights for 24 hours per day for swift and strong growth. Apply an organic liquid fertiliser high in nitrogen to provide the structural components needed for healthy development. Expect your Royal Jack Auto specimens to grow to a height of 7–10 cm by the end of week two and 20–25 cm by the end of week three. Apply training techniques, such as LST, during this time if you want to keep your plants as stealthy as possible. Also, move any plants you plan to finish outdoors into a sunny spot at this point, as they’ll be mature enough to stand strong in the face of pests that would quickly destroy younger plants. During week four, your plants will grow to a height of 30–35 cm and will start to produce preflowers as they transition into bloom.

  • Flowering Phase & Harvest Time

And just like that, your Royal Jack Auto plants have reached the flowering phase! Frequently defoliate your canopies during this stage to ensure all buds are exposed to direct light. Likewise, switch over to a fertiliser high in phosphorus and potassium to assist flower development. Prepare to watch your indoor plants stretch up to 40–80 cm and outdoor plants to 60–80 cm, depending on the pot size and any training techniques you’ve used. Following an entire growing cycle of 11–12 weeks, prepare to harvest 350–400 g/m² from indoor plants and 70–120 g/plant from those grown outdoors.

After flushing your plants during the final two weeks of bloom, cut them at the base just above the soil line. Hang them upside down in your indoor grow space with the lights off but the fans still running to prevent stagnant air and the risk of mold. After 7–10 days of drying, dry trim your buds and place them into curing jars for 6–8 weeks to perfect their flavor and smoothness.
