Special Queen 1 Cannabis Seeds: The Offspring of Power Bud and Skunk

In the '90s there was a mad dash from seed breeders and sellers to find that ultimate skunk. During this period, lots of growers tried to replicate that Mexican, Colombian, Afghan hybrid which resulted in a huge variety of new generation skunks. The genetic features of these cannabis plants would eventually lay the foundation for almost every marijuana plant in Europe.

At Royal Queen Seeds, we decided to bring you a classic Skunk hybrid at a lower price by crossing Skunk with Power Bud strain. Perfect for a first-time grower who doesn't want to invest too much in his experimental growing. This Special Queen is a classic skunk that grows with ease, doesn't stretch too much and can be harvested in 8-9 weeks.

Special Queen 1 Feminized Seeds: Buds, Buds Everywhere

Indoors it will grow to 1.5 m, so it will need a little more room. Outdoors this marijuana plant will grow to over 3 m. It needs lots of good sun but is also suitable for northern European climates like in the Netherlands or Great Britain. A sativa dominant, its buds are spread out all over the plant, providing an excellent yield for an 8-9 week sativa.

Indoors, Special Queen 1 seeds will produce plants that yield about 500g/m² under a 600W light. Sow your Special Queen 1 seeds outdoors, plants will grow big and strong and can yield over 550g per plant.  Care should be given to provide it with all the nutrients and water it will need to grow big and strong, while making sure not to give it too much.

Special Queen 1 Seeds: Low-Maintenance and Adaptable Plants

Special Queen 1 cannabis seeds are quick to germinate and develop into plants that are relatively easy to grow and require little maintenance. Perfect in both hydro and soil setups, Special Queen 1 seeds are well-suited for sea/screen of green operations. We recommend 8-9 weeks flowering for this Cannabis strain; however some growers have harvested as early as week 7.

Relax With the Special Queen 1 Strain!

The smoke from Special Queen 1 induces a classic Skunk stone. Mostly mental, Special Queen provides smokers with an uplifting high that will relax even the most anxious stoners.

Special Queen 1 seeds descend from the classic Skunk lineage and offer great yields for an advantageous price. You won't find another strain with these characteristics in our catalog, or in any other catalog!

    Title : Great plant
Comment : Had some mold problems, but still ended up with a lot of great big beautiful buds. Love the smell, but I’m not great at describing smells so I won’t elaborate. Good feeling energetic high, just potent enough for me as I like to remain functional while partaking. I would definitely recommend, very cheap seeds for such a great plant. Had a great time growing.

    Title : ALL GAS
Comment : Started this on my second round of photos I grew. I was happy to see how dense the buds were throughout the pant. The smell is stronger the anything I've grew yet. It's a keeper so cut clones if you got the pheno like I did.

    Title : Perfect!
Comment : She is so perfect, I'm in love with her. She has red hair and spitfire energy like Elizabeth I. I wouldn't change a thing. This is one of those strains that has an undeniable presence when it begins to flower.

    Title : Amazing plant
Comment : This plant was my second time growing and first time indoors. I went threw many issues, even having these plants pushed to the edge of death. Even after all that stress these plants produced very high quality buds. I am amazed.

Title : What a find! Highly recommend!
Comment : I've never heard of this strain before. I love skunk strains and these seeds were ridiculously cheap, so I thought I'd give them a try. Grown in soil, in 5 gallon buckets, indoors, under a Mars Hydro FC-E6500. 3 plants yielded 24.7 Oz or 663.6g, dry weight. The smell is extremely pungent! The smell lingers in my house for hours after smoking it. It tastes fantastic! Sweet, fruity, candy. Very happy with the outcome! If you order these, you will not be disappointed. What a nice surprise this was. I'm ordering more on my next order. Enjoy!

Title : Germination in under 48 hours
Comment : This is my first time with seeds from this plant, and my first time buying it. The price is nice for a noob like me. I soaked three Special Queen seeds for about a day, then laid them on wet paper towel in a zip sandwich bag. Within a 48 hour period including the soak, 3/3 seeds have a wee root tail. For seeds, I can't ask for more than that.

    Title : Grower
Comment : So far this strain is all it's said to be. I'm only on the first day into the budding stage. But the plant has out grown the closet. Had to take it out side 😞 since I had no other room to put her in. She is about 2 and a half feet tall maybe even 3 ft . And just as round as tall. Nice thick stems and thick leaves. Trying to be patient and see what the final results will be , but I think I will be very happy 😊.

Title : Outdoor passive hydroponic grow (Hempy Buckets & Lucas Formula)
Comment : June 2024 - Germinated 10 seeds and kept 4 plus one free OG Kush feminized. Started indoor in Root Riot plugs and Perlite in plastic cups, with hydroponic nutrients. Week 2 transferred outdoors to 5 gallon buckets with Perlite using the Hempy Bucket method, Lucas Formula nutrient feed schedule, using GH FloraNova Bloom and tap water. Week 4 topped at the 5th node. Week 7-8 flowering began on it's own after drops in temperature at night and shorter days. Week 4 of flowering plants are 5' tall and fattening up. Still need another 4-5 weeks to harvest. Temps in the high 60's and 70's during the day, low 40's at night in September where I live. Very happy with this strain. I will try to submit pics

Title : Huge plants & easy grow
Comment : I started these plants mid May indoors, no grow tent, just solo cups. I put them into the greenhouse June 2nd & they're 3.5 weeks into flowering. I did do some topping off early to midway of the growth, but not as much as I really wanted to. But even so, there are buds gallore all over the plants, all 3 strains (special queen, purple queen & og kush) I purchased have exploded with buds, and even after topping, these plants are almost 7FT tall! I'm a noob at growing & this is my 1st time owning a greenhouse. All 3 strains seeds developed tap roots within 16 to 24 hours. Super fast growth, literally blew my mind away how after transferring to the greenhouse in just 2 weeks they grew almost chest high from less than a foot tall! I have heard some negative things about the seeds from this site but in my experience, I purchased 6 seeds +1 free OG Kush & all grew. One of the purple Queen did stunt after the 2nd set of leaves & didn't seem to grow for a about a month. I left it in the solo cup in the greenhouse & then all of a sudden it took off & it's over a foot tall now with lots of shoots after topping off quite a bit, getting quite bushy. I want to grow this one indoors & keep is short & bushy. Hopefully I can use it to clone.

Title : Special Queen year 2
Comment : this is the second year in a row that I have grown the Special Queen this is the 12th of august and am in week 3 day 4 flower and i still have five weeks or so to go and the buds are growing fast and gonna be big the smell is kinda candy like with some coffee hints but will turn really skunky here soon plant size now is almost 8 ft all 8 plants are outdoor grown from seed started in march in the house and put in the ground on 20 April potential harvest will be between 20 Sept and 27 sept this has always been a very easy going plant and is very adaptable to various weather conditions overall this is one of my favorites the stone is deep and long lasting has creeper qualities I will continue to grow the Queen even with other varieties because this one is one of the best med types I have had since the 90s lol

Could I grow this one without using fertilizers in soil which has perlite?

Royal Queen Seeds Team

Fertilizers are not really a must, you can grow any seed without them, however, they are use to obtain a bigger yield among other things.

When would be the perfect time in the year to let the seed germinate ? When it says, that the harvest-month is september and the flowering time is 7-8 weeks, does that mean, I should let the seeds germinate in July ?

Royal Queen Seeds Team

It would depend on your location. We normally recommend to start growing in the Early Spring, so the plant will have more time to grow before it goes into flowering time.

From George Papadakis | 2017-10-11 18:08:09

Hello, Is there a way I can grow this outside and keep the the height at 1.0 - 1.5 meters for stealth reasons. How much of a lesser yield will I get approx and will it still be potent? Thanks

Royal Queen Seeds Team

You will find a very complete answer to your question in the below entrance of our blog. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-how-to-control-stretching-reigning-in-cannabis-growth-spurts-n487

From marcus | 2017-10-01 17:23:53

Is this one autoflowering?

Royal Queen Seeds Team

This is not an Autoflowering strain. It is Feminized.

From Mato | 2017-09-27 21:37:43

Does this strain have any resistance to mold?

Royal Queen Seeds Team

Not all cannabis strains have the same resistance to diseases and molds (botrytis, powdery mildew, etc.) This resistance depends on several factors (bud density, environmental conditions, etc.) and specially on the selection of the parents used to produce the seeds, since this resistance is often genetically transmitted to the offspring.
